If you're new to Pilates or returning after a break, start with Fundamentals. This class builds your foundation and teaches you proper form on all apparatus. If you have prior Pilates experience and want to skip Fundamentals, email us at howdy@monumentpilates.com for an Experience Check.
Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing that allows your instructor to see your alignment and lets you move freely. Avoid loose or baggy clothing that can get caught in the equipment. Grip socks are recommended to prevent slipping. We also suggest removing jewellery and tying back long hair.
That's actually one of the best reasons to start Pilates! Flexibility isn't a prerequisite — it's a result. Our equipment provides spring assistance that supports your body while gently improving range of motion over time. Every exercise can be modified for your current flexibility level.
Pilates is widely recommended by physical therapists and doctors for rehabilitation and pain management. However, please let your instructor know about any injuries or conditions before class so they can offer appropriate modifications. For specific concerns, a Private session is an excellent way to get customized guidance. Always consult your healthcare provider if you're unsure.
Please consult with your healthcare provider first. Many people safely practice Pilates during pregnancy with appropriate modifications. We recommend private sessions during pregnancy so your instructor can tailor every exercise to your needs and trimester. Let us know during booking so we can prepare accordingly.
Join the waitlist! When a spot opens, we'll text the first person. You'll have 2 hours to respond before the next person is offered the spot. So keep your phone handy and notifications on. Waitlists move more often than you'd think!

Three things make us unique: (1) Every instructor is fully certified with 500+ hours of training — not just a weekend certification. (2) All our equipment is premium Balanced Body, made in the USA. (3) We offer both classical and contemporary Pilates, giving you the best of both traditions. Plus, our hospitality background means you'll always feel genuinely welcome.
While Pilates alone may not burn as many calories as high-intensity cardio, it builds lean muscle mass which increases your resting metabolism. Combined with a balanced diet, regular Pilates practice can be a powerful component of a weight management plan. Many members report changes in body composition, posture, and overall energy levels.
